As a plein air painter, I feel most at home painting on the streets of Provincetown and the outer towns of Cape Cod. I love to walk the backroads and dunes searching for the next canvas. I’ve studied with some of the finest artists and feel part of the community. The cape light has always been a magnet for painters. During the fall and winter months, I return to the lovely colors of Pennsylvania. I complete still lifes and landscapes.
As a colorist, I am interested in how light affects color. I paint many locations on Cape Cod and in Pennsylvania at different times of the day.
I’ve had many opportunities to display my work in galleries and juried shows in Pa. and the outer cape. Participating with The Addison Gallery, Orleans, Ma. in invitational plein air events; “After Hopper”, “Finding Thoreau”, “Paint the Garden”. Chadds Ford Art Show and Unionville Show and Yellow Springs Art Show. I feel fortunate to be apart of such wonderful group of plein air painters. My work is currently in the Larkin Gallery, Provincetown and Harwich Port, Ma. and Maureen’s Gallery I am a member of Delaware Valley Art League, The Truro Group, Ma.
