Joy Barry

Joy Barry is an award-winning artist based on Cape Cod. Through photography, encaustic, and mixed media art, Joy captures the intricate beauty of nature and explores themes such as identity, belonging, purpose, beauty and grief/loss. She creates mesmerizing images with impactful color, texture, and emotion. In addition to her artistry, Joy is a dedicated educator who shares her creativity, expertise and passion with other artists. Her teaching includes in-person and online workshops where she shares not only her technical knowledge but also a profound appreciation for the art of visual storytelling. Joy actively contributes to the art community through collaborations, mentorship programs, and other initiatives that promote access, inclusivity and innovation. She is a Juried Member of the Cape Cod Art Center, a founding member of the National Association of Digital Artists, a member of the Cape Cod Museum of Art, the Cultural Center of Cape Cod, and the International Encaustic Artists.
